Thesis Write Up:
My textile thesis was to decorate a room with a chosen set of textile designs and techniques.
My theme was Walt Disney and I decorated a room for children.
Walt Disney has always been an attraction for children. I went through a lot research as Walt Disney has a wide range of images and characters to offer.
There’s a lot of creativity and hard work involved developing this thesis as there was so much to inspire by to decorate the room.
Walt Disney provided me with a wide range of relevant ideas which I had included in my thesis and process of decorating a room.
We (thesis students) had been given five techniques out of which minimum four techniques needed to be applied in our thesis.
Five techniques are:
- Tie & Die
- Batik
- Stenciling
- Block printing
- Silk painting
